Originally from South Australia, John brings over 30 years of expertise in Podiatry to his practice. After completing his Bachelor of Applied Science in 1995, John pursued postgraduate studies in Sports Podiatry, Paediatrics, and Pharmacology at the University of South Australia. His passion for the field led him to Melbourne in 2001, where he now leads a dedicated team of highly skilled podiatrists who share his commitment to exceptional patient care.
John’s focus areas include Paediatrics, Sports Medicine, Biomechanics, and managing complex cases. He has built a strong reputation for his ability to take on challenging cases, offering hope and effective solutions where others may have struggled. John’s dedication to his patients has made him a trusted name in the podiatry community.
A lifelong sports enthusiast, John has a particular affinity for Sports Podiatry. His expertise helps athletes of all levels recover from injuries and perform at their highest potential. John also takes pride in his work with children, believing that many podiatric issues in childhood can be addressed early, preventing future complications and ensuring lifelong foot health. There’s nothing more rewarding for him than seeing a child’s foot health improve, setting them on a path for healthy development.
In addition to his clinical work, John is passionate about education. For the past 10 years, he has been mentoring final-year podiatry students from one of Australia’s top universities. Through this program, he has helped shape the careers of many students, some of whom now work alongside him in his practice. John continues to be a guiding force for his team, fostering an environment of continuous learning and professional growth.
Sophia earned both her Bachelor of Health Science and Master of Podiatry degrees from Latrobe University in 2016. During her final year, she completed a crucial placement at Millers Road Podiatry’s other location Moreland Podiatry, in Brunswick West. She was guided by her mentor John Georgaras. This experience equipped her with practical skills and knowledge that greatly cemented her career path in Podiatry. Sophia recalls, “Moreland Podiatry provided me first real opportunity in the field. The hands-on experience and insights I gained there were vital for my transition into private practice.
Her passion lies in podiatric care, especially in treating children’s feet, addressing biomechanical issues and general podiatry. Sophia is dedicated to delivering exceptional patient care. In her free time, Sophia enjoys travelling and taking care of her cherished dogs.
Alison graduated from La Trobe University in 2021 with a Bachelor of Applied Science and Masters of Podiatric Practice, driven by her passion for the healthcare field. With two years of experience in private practice across Geelong and its surrounding areas, she joined the team at Millers Road Podiatry to be closer to home in Melbourne’s western suburbs. Alison’s professional interests focus on general skin and nail care, as well as diabetic foot assessments ensuring her patients receive thorough and compassionate care.
Outside of her podiatric profession, Alison enjoys crafting, playing netball, and watching football. A dedicated Bulldogs supporter, she finds joy in combining her creative pursuits with her love for sports and community engagement.
